Mold & Moisture Medics is a owner-operated by the Clevenger family- Triangle natives doing business locally since 1984. Their original business, Handyman Solutions, has grown from a small handyman service to a residential/commercial turnkey property maintenance company with many home services:

Mold & Moisture Medics was created when the Clevengers learned first hand about the need for such a service. The Clevengers discovered that the air quality problems in some rooms of their house were traced to wet crawl space. After doing his homework, Richard Clevenger practiced perfection on his own home, and completely solved the problem. Shortly thereafter, Richard started offering crawlspace encapsulation through Handsyman Solutions.
Crawlspace encapsulation became such a popular service that the Clevengers created a new business, Mold & Moisture Medics. Today, Mold & Moisture Medics offers crawlspace encapsulation services to homeowners and businesses directly and through a network of heating & air conditioning companies that they partner with. We have learned how to properly install moisture barriers and insulation that provides much more value for the price compared to most of the other options out there.

Our Approach
Just like a health care provider, Mold & Moisture Medics takes a “property care provider” attitude with your crawl space and mold issues. We have a team of medics who have been in the NC building industry of a minimum of 15 years each. They are paid a salary, not commission. Their sole goal is to meet your mold & moisture correction needs and recommend what is in your best interest.
You won’t see us on TV shouting or hear from our robo-caller (since we would never use one). You will see us working our business and customer relationships, placing their needs first, and profit from leveraging our expertise, not from over-charging.
Meet The Owners
RICHARD & JUNE CLEVENGER
Richard is a Georgia native, but North Carolina has been his home since he was a little boy. He is a second generation painter/repair man. He worked along side of his father and brothers for 10 years before he sprouted on his own to support his wife and children.
Richard Clevenger’s dad taught him and his brothers to paint at a very young age, from there he learned more tricks of the trade, and eventually opened his own company. He taught his sons everything he knew, and one day (we hope) his sons will pass it to their children.
His wife helps out in the administrative aspect of the business! We are truly family owned and operated. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, and treating all of our customers as family, as these are the values we were raised on.
Over the years Richard has worked with multiple property managers in new construction and property preservation, facility maintenance companies that oversee retail needs, and even directly with homeowners.
Today, Richard has over 35 years in the construction industry. He has completed countless projects on his own home as well as for friends and family. Richard is well versed in many things, as small as cleaning gutters, large as remodeling a house and anything in between. Richard gives back to his community through his existing companies Handyman Solutions (handling home and business repairs specializing in painting and property maintenance), and Mold Moisture Medics (keeping home and businesses safe from mold exposure by offering mold remediation and crawl space encapsulation).
